To optimize our engineering processes and support this growth, we’re looking for a Medior System Engineer to focus on our FEED projects. Ready to use your expertise and make an impact?


How you make an impact

As a System Engineer, you ensure the quality and efficiency of system engineering within our projects. You translate technical needs into clear specifications, working closely with suppliers and internal teams to streamline processes. By identifying and addressing technical risks, you help safeguard the quality of our engineering efforts. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and external partners, you play a critical role in advancing Iron Fuel Technology toward commercial scale.

What you'll do as a System Engineer

  • Serve as the team’s go-to expert in system engineering, focusing on process automation across hardware and software.

  • Identify technical risks in system engineering aspects of projects and develop effective solutions.

  • Ensure engineering work meets industry standards and regulations (e.g., ISO, NEN, IEC SIL, Atex).

  • Develop and align detailed technical specifications with suppliers and partners to enable accurate quotes and feasible designs.

  • Document and share engineering outcomes with suppliers and contractors to maintain consistency and quality.

  • Translate system engineering requirements into actionable plans and timelines in close collaboration with the (Technical) Project Manager.


Job requirements

  • Bring 3+ years of experience in system engineering, ideally in process automation or industrial settings.

  • Excell at defining and managing technical specifications while ensuring top-notch quality.

  • Are a strong communicator who thrives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Quickly identify technical risks and solve them pragmatically.

  • Are structured and goal-oriented, keeping project objectives front and center.

  • Hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in industrial engineering, automation, or control systems.
