As a Grants & Incentives Specialist at RIFT, you are vital to our growth. You identify and secure the right subsidies and funding opportunities — from national innovation programs to European grants. You translate our ambitions into compelling applications, build strong consortia, and ensure everything runs smoothly from the initial idea through to audits. Thanks to the funding you help secure, we take real steps toward a clean energy future powered by iron fuel. You make it possible for our projects to take off and accelerate the energy transition.

What you’ll do as Gants & Incentives

• Identifying funding opportunities: You shape the grants and public financing strategy for strategic projects, spot high-impact opportunities, and advise the Management Team on the optimal allocation of resources.

• Engaging project partners: You build strategic win-win relationships with key partners and personally lead the negotiations that are decisive for securing project funding.

• Preparing applications: You hold final responsibility for the content, positioning, and persuasiveness of complex funding applications involving multiple stakeholders and an international scope.

• Reporting on awarded grants: You direct the full accountability process for strategic grants, lead internal teams and partners, and anticipate risks during audits and reporting.

• Managing grant documentation: You optimize and safeguard grant management processes, ensuring RIFT remains demonstrably compliant and can strategically steer its financing.

What you’l bring as a Grants & Incentives Specialist

• Proven success in writing and directing complex, strategic funding applications in both Dutch and English, resulting in substantial secured financing.

• Extensive experience in preparing, reviewing, and strategically deploying multi-year budgets and financial forecasts to support decision-making at the executive level.

• Leadership in coordinating large-scale projects with multiple (international) stakeholders, expertly managing deadlines and aligning diverse interests.

• Highly developed political and organizational sensitivity to operate effectively within complex public funding landscapes and to influence decision-making processes.

• Strategic capability to design, implement, and safeguard compliance processes, while facilitating collaboration between internal teams and external partners at the highest level.
