Job description
Do you want to play a key role in accelerating the energy transition? As a Mechanical Engineer at RIFT, you will work at the very heart of our Iron Fuel Technology. You will design, develop, and implement mechanical systems that directly contribute to our sustainable heat solutions. Depending on your experience and ambitions, you can join as Medior, Senior, or Team Lead, each with its own focus and responsibilities. In this role, you make a tangible contribution to innovative technologies and to the growth of RIFT as a future-proof organization.
What you’ll do as a Mechanical Engineer
Medior
Design and develop mechanical components and systems
Perform engineering calculations and simulations
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external suppliers
Support improvement of existing designs and processes
Senior
Lead complex mechanical design projects from concept to implementation
Safeguard technical specifications and quality standards
Coach medior engineers and share technical expertise
Contribute strategically to design scalability and system innovation
Team lead
Lead and coordinate the mechanical engineering team
Manage planning, priorities, and capacity across projects
Represent the team in technical discussions and towards management
Foster team growth and individual development
Job requirements
What you bring as a Mechanical Engineer
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or similar
Experience with 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks
Solid understanding of mechanical design principles and relevant standards
Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Additional for senior / team lead profiles
5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in process or energy sectors
Proven track record in leading technical projects and/or teams
Strategic thinking and confidence in making informed technical decisions
