Technical Buyer

Do you want to play a key role in the energy transition? As a Technical Buyer at RIFT, you play a pivotal role in the development of iron fuel technology. You are responsible for selecting and procuring technical components, materials, and services that are essential for the realization, construction, and scaling of our systems and projects. You request quotes, compare suppliers, negotiate price and delivery terms, and ensure that orders are delivered on time, with high quality, and in a cost-efficient manner. In this role, you work closely with our engineering and project teams to fully understand technical specifications and evaluate potential alternatives, always with a focus on a sustainable energy transition.

What you’ll do as Technical Buyer…

• You are responsible for the selection, procurement, and timely delivery of technical components, materials, and services that are essential for RIFT’s projects and systems.

• You work closely with engineering and project teams to understand technical specifications and translate them into concrete orders.

• You compare quotes, select suppliers, and negotiate price, quality, and delivery teams.

• You plan and prioritize orders to ensure projects are executed efficiently and on time.

• You contribute ideas for alternative suppliers or materials when challanges arise and can make quick decisions.

• You ensure that all projects have the right materials at the right time.

• You maintain extensice contact with engineers, project managers, and suppliers, making you a crucial link in the success of our projects.

Why you make a difference? You…

• You have HBO/WO level of education and thinking.

• You have at least 2 to 3 years of experience in technical procurement, preferably in production or engineering environment.

• You are experienced in supplier selection, and ordering materials for projects on time.

• Have an affinity for technology and can translate engineers’ functional requirements into concrete orders, supplier choiches, and technical specifications.

• Can propose alternative suppliers or materials when challanges arise and make quick decisions.
