Job description
As a System Engineer at RIFT, you work at the intersection of innovation, system design, and practical implementation. You connect automation, architecture, and execution into one integrated system. With a clear eye for standards, safety, and functionality, you help scale Iron Fuel Technology into industrial reality, working closely with technical teams and external partners.
What you'll do as a System Engineer
Serve as system lead within technical projects, with a focus on process automation
Define and manage technical specifications for hardware and software components
Identify technical risks and translate them into workable solutions
Ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations (e.g. ISO, IEC SIL, Atex)
Align with suppliers and partners on quotations, detail engineering, and execution quality
Document system decisions and ensure consistent communication across teams and contractors
Collaborate with project management and engineering to translate requirements into planning and execution
Job requirements
What you bring as a System Engineer
At least 3 years of experience in system engineering within industrial or process environments
Knowledge of process automation, control systems, and system integration
Ability to quickly identify risks and take a pragmatic, solution-oriented approach
Experience in drafting and managing technical documentation and standards
Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate between internal and external stakeholders
Completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in industrial automation, electrical engineering, or similar
Experience with system architecture in complex project settings (e.g. EPC environments)
Familiarity with the integration of mechanical, electrical, and software design
