Job description
RIFT is a rapidly growing startup focused on revolutionizing the heat-intensive industry by enabling decarbonization with our innovative Iron Fuel Technology. Currently, we are running two industrial pilot systems where our technology is being actively tested. As a Process Development Engineer, you will be responsible for analyzing the test data from RIFT’s Iron Fuel Production Plant, directly contributing to its optimization and further development.
How you make an impact
As a Process Development Engineer, you will contribute to the development and validation of RIFT’s Iron Fuel Technology™. You will create test plans, analyze data, and implement process improvements to make the technology more efficient and scalable, directly supporting RIFT’s mission to reduce 1 gigaton of CO₂ annually by 2050.
What you’ll do as a Process Development Engineer
You will develop and execute test plans to validate KPIs and extract lessons learned.
You will analyze data from the pilot plant, such as measurement data and samples, translating findings into concrete improvements.
Your responsibilities will include supporting the operations team during testing and process optimization.
You will document test results and communicate findings to involved teams.
Collaboration is key, and you will work with other teams to identify and implement process improvements to optimize the technology.
As part of your role, you will update test plans based on new insights and analyses.
Job requirements

Have strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data and draw conclusions.
Have experience in developing and executing test plans in a technical environment.
Are proficient in data analysis tools such as Excel, Python, or MATLAB.
Completed a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Physics.
Are a team player with excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
Have a keen eye for detail and can quickly adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
