Project Planner

RIFT is transitioning from development to commercial realization. This requires stronger alignment between disciplines, tighter dependencies, and a high level of predictability in time and capacity. Planning is therefore not an administrative function, but a means to bring clarity to choices, dependencies, and expectations. As a Project Planner, you ensure realistic and steerable project plans that guide decision-making and execution. 

What you do as a Project Planner

• You work within the Project Management team, collaborating with technical project managers on R&D and commercial projects. 
• You develop and maintain integrated project schedules for development and engineering activities. 
• You translate technical input, dependencies, and uncertainties into realistic scenarios in Microsoft Project. 
• You monitor progress, identify bottlenecks and risks, and make the impact of decisions visible. 
• You bring structure and overview to projects with extensive internal coordination and external parties. 
• You challenge assumptions and speak up when plans are not realistic, even when this creates friction, while remaining open to jointly exploring better alternatives. 

What you bring

• A few years of experience as a Project Planner or in a comparable role within a technical project environment. 
• HBO level of working and thinking, preferably in Industrial Engineering, Technical Business Administration, or Project Management. 
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and complex project schedules. 
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project or a comparable planning tool. 
• A structured way of working, with attention to detail as well as the bigger picture. 
• You actively use planning as a steering instrument and take initiative in doing so. 
• You do not work from a fixed idea of “how it should be done”, but are keen to learn in practice what works in this context.
