Process Engineer

Do you want to play a key role in the energy transition? As a Process Engineer at RIFT, you will fulfill an essential role in process design and contribute to the development of our innovative Iron Fuel systems at an unprecedented scale. In this versatile position, you will be involved from A to Z, from concept through to the physical commissioning of the system you designed. You will work in a project-based environment, collaborating with engineers from other disciplines to ensure that the newly designed system performs as intended. This role comes with significant responsibility, in which you will be supported by your manager in your personal and professional development. What you’ll do as Process Engineer

• You define the requirements that systems must meet to achieve optimal performance.

• You design chemical processes for Iron Fuel Technology, from concept through to P&ID level.

• You collaborate with the Technical Project Manager on feasibility studies and conceptual designs (FEL/FEED studies).

• You actively participate in system start-up activities, ensuring safety and operability.

• You contribute to safety studies (HAZOP, LOPA, and SIL) to identify safety risks and ensure that your colleagues can work safely.

Why you make a difference? You…

• Bring at least 3 years of work experience in process engineering within the heat, energy production, (petro)chemical, or a comparable industry.

• Have knowledge of and experience with software and systems commonly used in proces engineering.

• Enjoy working collaboratively on projects with engineers from different disciplines.

• Hold a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Energy Technology, or a comparable field of study or experience.
