Job description
RIFT is developing Iron Fuel Technology for sustainable heat production and currently operates two Industrial Pilot Systems. Our team in Arnhem is looking for a Plant Support Engineer to plan, organize, and oversee our Pilot tests.

As a Plant Support Engineer, you ensure that our test objectives are met and that we continuously improve our technology. You are the link between the operations team and the support engineers, ensuring that tests are conducted safely, efficiently, and according to schedule. With your technical expertise and organizational skills, you contribute to achieving RIFT’s mission: commercializing Iron Fuel Technology to make a global impact.
What you do as a Plant Process Engineer
- You create test plans, develop schedules, and ensure that the installation is ready to execute the test plan.
- You support the operations team during test runs, from start-up to shutdown of the installation.
- You analyze test data and findings, contributing ideas for process improvements.
- You manage the troubleshooting and improvement action list, prioritizing actions and assigning them to colleagues.
- You coordinate and manage MoC processes for changes to the installation or work procedures.
- You contribute to safety studies (HAZOP, LOPA, SIL) to identify and mitigate safety risks.

- Are familiar with safety standards in an operational environment and have experience creating and executing test plans.
- Have knowledge of chemical process technology on an industrial scale and strong problem-solving skills.
- Have experience with Management of Change (MoC) processes.
- Have 2-10 years of experience in the heat, power generation, (petro)chemical, or similar industries.
