Job description

RIFT is a driven start-up developing the innovative Iron Fuel Technology and the infrastructure projects that bring this technology to life. Following the successful completion of our Series A round, we are looking for an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) who will enable us to take the next steps toward commercialization and maximize the impact of our projects.


How you can make an impact

As CFO, you establish a solid financial foundation essential for RIFT’s growth. You strategically acquire and manage capital for our large-scale infrastructure projects, developing strong relationships with investors and banks to access substantial equity and debt financing. Through in-depth risk analyses and profit and loss forecasts, you ensure financial stability and maximize the profitability of projects. 


You lead the finance team, fostering collaboration and development. As a strategic member of the management team, you connect departments and provide direction for our financial strategy. You structure complex financing models and provide insights into valuations for informed decision-making. With your leadership and analytical approach, you support RIFT in future exit opportunities and optimize the long-term value of the company.


What you do as Chief Operations Officer (COO)

  • Acquire and manage capital (equity, senior, and junior debt) to finance infrastructure projects.
  • Maintain strong relationships with investors and banks to support growth.
  • Conduct financial risk analyses and profitability models for projects.
  • Coordinate investment rounds (Series B-D) and prepare investment documentation and valuation models.
  • Prepare exit strategies and evaluate sale options to maximize value.
  • Manage non-dilutive financing options, such as grants and loans.
  • Ensure compliance and oversee financial administration and processes.

  • Undersatnd financial regulations and are able to keep the organization aligned with applicable laws.
  • Are a team player who can collaborate effectively and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Don't mind travelling (internationally) to keep external stakeholders engaged or expand your network.
