Job description

At RIFT, we’re working on groundbreaking technologies to decarbonize industries with iron fuel. Our R&D team plays a key role in the development and optimization of our Iron Fuel Technology. To take our innovations even further, we’re looking to expand our team.


How you make an impact

As an R&D Engineer, you’ll develop and validate technologies that enable large-scale and commercial application. You’ll fill critical knowledge gaps and explore new concepts to push our technology forward. Additionally, you’ll improve design tools such as numerical models and data analyses, directly contributing to the optimization and scaling of our technology. Your work will ensure Iron Fuel Technology is implemented faster and more efficiently.

What you’ll do as an R&D Engineer

  • Dive into the fundamental aspects of Iron Fuel Technology, with a specific focus on Iron Fuel Production

  • Conduct both theoretical and experimental research, including modelling and data analysis

  • Design, plan, and carry out test plans using both existing and new test setups

  • Develop methods to scale research results from pilot-scale to commercial-scale

  • Collaborate will Engineering and R&D teams to quickly translate insights into practical solutions

Job requirements

How you make a difference?

  • You have an analytical midset and solve complex problems systematically

  • You are knowledgeable in reactor engineering as well as chemical and thermodynamic processes

  • You have experience in data analysis, modelling, and numerical methods

  • You can translate complex concepts into practical insights

  • You are proactive, eager to learn, and enjoy working in a multidisciplinary team

  • You have an affinity for fluidized beds and thermochemical processes (preferred)
