Job description
As Project Finance Specialist at RIFT, you are the driving force behind the financial strategy of our energy infrastructure projects.
You develop robust financial models, conduct in-depth risk analyses, and advise on investment strategies that make our projects future-proof. With your expertise, you ensure that our innovative technologies are not only technically feasible but also financially viable and scalable.
What you’ll do as a Project Finance Specialist
Build and maintain detailed financial models for large-scale energy infrastructure projects
Conduct scenario analyses and quantify key financial risks
Analyse complex contracts and identify financial risks, such as price volatility and counterparty exposure
Design and advise on risk mitigation strategies, including hedging mechanisms and contractual structures
Monitor relevant regulation and assess the impact of subsidies and tax incentives on financial structuring
Collaborate closely with investors, legal teams, and the CFO to support strategic financial decisions
Job requirements
What you bring as a Project Finance Specialist
Proven experience in financial modelling and complex project finance structures
Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate financial risks into strategic recommendations
Familiarity with contractual risk and how it impacts financial stability
Clear communicator: able to present complex analyses to diverse internal and external stakeholders
Skilled in working cross-functionally with legal, commercial, technical, and investment teams
Knowledge of financial regulations and incentive mechanisms relevant to infrastructure financing
Experience in infrastructure, energy, or capital-intensive project environments
Understanding of multi-party deal structuring and long-term risk allocation
