How you will make an impact

As a Project Developer at RIFT, you play a pivotal role in spearheading the development of groundbreaking sustainable projects on an industrial scale, particularly focusing on EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects. Leading projects with CAPEX ranging from 5 to 100 million euros, you guide them from the letter of intent (LOI) stage to a positive Financial Investment Decision (FID).


Your primary goal is to successfully develop and scale Iron Fuel Technology. Initiating projects, closing conditional contracts with stakeholders, and working towards a positive FID are integral aspects of your role. You are the linchpin in complex negotiations, coordinating with internal and external parties. Leveraging your experience and expertise, you ensure all facets of project development, from finances to permits, are expertly handled, seizing opportunities and managing risks effectively.


What you do as a Project Developer

• Prepare projects by creating a solid execution framework and establishing the project structure.
• Initiate projects based on conditional contracts.
• Develop profitable business cases, carefully weighing all essential elements.
• Consult experts in various fields, including legal and financial experts, to enrich the project without being a specialist in each area.
• Organize all aspects surrounding the Financial Investment Decision (FID), including due diligence, engineering documentation, external validations, cost calculations, permits, land contracts, and SPVs (Special Purpose Vehicles).

Job requirements

• Proven track record in developing (sustainable) energy or heat projects on an industrial scale (minimum 5 million euros) and skilled in negotiation processes.

Extensive and relevant network, including governments and project financiers.
